This site has been designed to help support the families and close friends of all those who serve in HMS ALBION, to keep you informed and up to date on our programme and to give you an insight into life on board. Most importantly, it aims to provide a forum where you have a voice and can ask for support whether we are in and around the UK, or far from these shores.   Please use this site to engage both with the ship and with each other, to communicate across the ALBION community as a whole, and I will try to ensure, within the bounds of operational security, that you have as full a picture as possible of what we are doing and why we are doing it.   The team who support this families’ forum, some of whom are have family serving on the ship themselves, do a great job by passing on news articles and social media releases on my behalf and will support you when you have any questions or concerns, so please feel free to contact them via this forum. They will either endeavour to help themselves, or perhaps advise on where you could seek additional help and support, as there are a number of organisations that the Royal Navy and the Armed Forces has established to ensure that you are supported as much as possible when your loved ones are away from home and you are faced with challenges.   Lastly, I would like to thank you all for the support you offer to all in HMS ALBION. It is difficult to express just how much your support means to all those serving in the ship, especially given the challenges that a busy programme and the ship’s readiness profile brings.

Forum Post: RE: test for Gavin

This is a reply

Blog Post: Commanding Officer's Families Message March 2021

“We feel that it is important to give our families and friends an update on the developing situation onboard HMS ALBION on her return to Devonport following a short period of operational tasking. Many of you may be aware that a number of personnel onboard have tested positive for COVID-19. These individuals are ashore and are under medical supervision; none have presented as seriously unwell or have required any medical support beyond that of onboard Royal Navy (RN) Medics. Furthermore, all close contacts have been identified and have been provided with the necessary help and support. The remaining crew are following Public Health England (PHE) guidelines as the RN continues to manage this situation.   We would like to reassure you that the safety of our Ship’s Company is paramount and always at the forefront of everything we do. Any COVID-19 outbreaks on RN ships are managed by a team of Public Health Specialists, who work closely with external agencies such as PHE, taking all the necessary steps to ensure that our people remain safe. All members of the Ship’s Company have been provided with guidance and contact details should they have any concerns.”     Captain Simon Kelly Royal Navy,  Commanding Officer of HMS ALBION.   Please do not share any content on any other Social Media Platform, Media Outlet or Private Messenger System. It really has been the most wonderful privilege and honour to Command the Fleet Flagship and be part of such a truly brilliant and impressive ship’s company. They have consistently delivered above and beyond the call of duty, serving their ship, the Royal Navy and their country with commendable commitment, pride and professionalism. I could not be more proud of my people and I have greatly admired their immense can-do attitude, fighting spirit and humility.   Despite the spectre of COVID—19 and all the anxiety and complications it has generated, we can nevertheless reflect on a hugely successful deployment to the Eastern Mediterranean. This chronicle says it all and certainly brings to life what has been a hugely successful deployment that we can all be proud of.   As I depart for pastures new on 30th November having handed over Command to Captain Simon Kelly, I just want to thank all my ship’s company and their amazing family and friends for their unstinting support, loyalty and professionalism. A truly brilliant team doing brilliant things!    Peter Capt P Laughton MBE The Captain HMS Albion   Download full version of The Albion Chronicle: Issue_04-20_Albion..onicle_Nov 2020.pdf

Blog Post: The Albion Chronicle Issue 3

Dear Friends & Families,   Welcome back to the ALBION Chronicle. A lot has happened since I last wrote to you at the end of July. Post Summer leave the Ship’s Company have been extremely busy and we’ve achieved a large amount in such a short time.   One of the highlights was our successful visit to the Port of Liverpool and our home town, Chester. I was extremely proud to watch the men and women of ALBION parade through Chester in company with our Lady Sponsor HRH, The Princess Royal.   After exercising the Freedom of the City it was back to business, working alongside our NATO partners as well as the RAF during Joint Warrior 192. This provided a dynamic environment for me to test the full capability of ALBION and her Ship’s Company. November saw ALBION back in Plymouth waters being fully tested by the staff of Flag Officer Sea Training. The organisation provides world class training and this will ensure that we remain at the peak of operational capability. As the year closes and we prepare for well earned leave, may I take this opportunity to thank you all for the love and support you provide the ALBION family.    Merry Christmas & Happy New Year   Peter Captain Laughton MBE Commanding Officer HMS ALBION   Download the Full Newsletter:  HMS ALBION Chronicle Issue 3.pdf

Forum Post: test for Gavin

rgrqghqhqtrhqwrthjwrthwrt rgrqghqhqtrhqwrthjwrthwr rgrqghqhqtrhqwrthjwrthwr rgrqghqhqtrhqwrthjwrthwr rgrqghqhqtrhqwrthjwrthwr rgrqghqhqtrhqwrthjwrthwr rgrqghqhqtrhqwrthjwrthwr rgrqghqhqtrhqwrthjwrthwr rgrqghqhqtrhqwrthjwrthwr rgrqghqhqtrhqwrthjwrthwrv rgrqghqhqtrhqwrthjwrthwr rgrqghqhqtrhqwrthjwrthwr rgrqghqhqtrhqwrthjwrthwr rgrqghqhqtrhqwrthjwrthwr rgrqghqhqtrhqwrthjwrthwr rgrqghqhqtrhqwrthjwrthwr rgrqghqhqtrhqwrthjwrthwr rgrqghqhqtrhqwrthjwrthwr v rgrqghqhqtrhqwrthjwrthwr rgrqghqhqtrhqwrthjwrthwrrgrqghqhqtrhqwrthjwrthwrvrgrqghqhqtrhqwrthjwrthwr

Files: Resources

Resources

Files: Gallery

Blog: Announcements

Forum: Forum

Group: HMS Albion

This forum is specifically for the Families, Friends and Ships Company of HMS Albion.

File: 3-1-Equipment-Assault-BG-2-1440x740.jpg
